The Yin And Yang Of Future Trends
Will Yin And Yang Always Exist?
Since long before Adam and Eve, there has been a battle among opposites- good/ bad, light/ dark, truth/ lies, supportive/ non-supportive, and the like. It's all part of the natural equilibrium, best understood as Yin and Yang. And this will continue to go on into the future.
Likewise, there's a battle going on right now with artificial technologies versus natural technologies. It sometimes seems to be a race between the two- which will win? Sometimes these can be described as man made technological advancements and metaphysical advancements.
A good example of a competing future technology is transportation. Using artificial electronic technologies, companies like IBM have already begun testing quantum teleportation theories in attempts to teleport full-scale objects, and ultimately people.
Using natural technologies (metaphysical/ energetic creative abilities), some saints and monks have been able to teleport themselves for quite some time now (Click Here) . So here we see how to opposite forms of technologies are in this race to produce the same desired result. Another example would be artificial communication using a telephone versus natural communication using telepathy.
Doesn't Yin And Yang Work Together?
If you research a little bit about the direction of artificial technology, like medication and electronics, it's very easy to see that it is fertile ground for competition and for strongly held opinions. People will be very pro and very con about the new artificial technology. So it looks like there's gonna be a big struggle well into the future. It's the flow of Yin and Yang.
At the moment the natural approach is struggling to keep up on a societal scale, because the artificial technologies are still predominant. They are more temporary, more convenient, bring faster gratification, they have more money behind them, and they're far better organized.
Meanwhile, most natural concepts and ventures are slowly gaining acceptance. They tend to grow organically by the very nature of being natural, and secondly they tend to be small and not well organized. For example, organic farming is beginning to get organized on a larger scale, but only just beginning. Alternative medicine is largely organized on a very individual scale. You have mostly small practices with individual practitioners in a lot of areas.
The only area where it's large and organized is in the natural vitamins and supplements sector and things like that, where the distribution systems are being organized on a larger scale. So the natural systems are definitely trailing, and it hasn't started to catch up with the artificial systems yet.
In the future, the important question to answer is "will they be able to cooperate?"
If you look at the moment, the direction in medicine is towards integration. From the surface of things, that appears to be very rational and wise. For example in cancer care in one research project, over 90 % of women in Canada who had cancer were using some kind of an alternative health treatment in addition to western medicine. That's a huge proportion of people using complementary alternative medicine with a very western medicine-controlled disease, such as cancer.
However, the ancient Chinese philosophy shows that positive always wins over negative. This also means that whatever is new will always eventually win over what is old.
The Nei Ching states that "The entire universe is an oscillation of the forces Yin and Yang." While many people who have given much time to the study of Eastern philosophies totally accept this statement as fact, very few have subjectively experienced or understood the elements by which it can be proven valid.
The Harmony Of Opposites-- A Principle Worth Understanding
Yin and Yang represent every conceivable pair of opposites: birth and death, growth and decay, health and illness, etc. Everything that is born must die, and everything that grows will one day decay, and we can assume that what is Yin today is destined to become Yang in the future, and vice-versa.
This basically describes evolution. The world is constantly evolving. Whatever is new today may be rejected at first, but it eventually becomes established, and the old system fades away.
What Does This Have To Do With Investing In The Future?
If you compare artificial with natural, everybody would prefer natural. On an instinctive level we prefer natural. The reason why people don't believe natural at the moment is that they just feel that nature is not good enough and that we need human beings to come along and fix nature.
So the only way that the natural way can win, which is what in their hearts everybody would like, is if nature itself can be shown to be much more powerful than is currently seen to be the case.
This is again where we come to quantum physics. Quantum physics is beginning to show us that the universe is made of energy. It's not of matter and space, which is what we used to believe according to Newtonion physics. This concept of universe energy is radically changing our understanding of how things work. And it gives a scope for human beings to access a level of power and ability that has barely been dreamed of before.
Still A Question And Concern
So the question that comes up again and again is, "Do we develop artificial, mechanical, and material technologies, or do we develop human beings themselves?" Which do we want to become more powerful? Ultimately these are totally different directions. Because nature is Yin and Yang, nature will always win. It's just that our human understanding and respect for nature will continue to dramatically expand.
In the future, one will have to supplant the other. Integration looks very nice, but if you discover that you can heal cancer naturally, you will never integrate artificial medicine again.
The only reason we have integration is because the natural system is not yet fully established with consistent results to be able to overtake the artificial system. What works for one person works quite differently for someone else. Yet, the direction of evolution is inevitable and natural has always been more positive than artificial.
As a final note, just keep in mind that advances in technology are natural in themselves. Modern western medicine, as we know it today, was an enormous advance over the health system that existed before, which was barbaric to start off with.
Modern western medicine with antibiotics, for example, has literally prolonged millions of lives. So evolution is natural and every new phase is better than the previous one. That is the ongoing result of Yin and Yang.
And the latest trend, to go into more natural direction, is just an improvement on the previous trend. So in the end, it's very important not to knock these stepping stones in technology.
