The New Pioneers Lead The Next Trillion Dollar Industry

Direction Of Technology

As we talked about earlier on the "Best Careers For The Future" page, the direction for technology is to become increasingly automated. This is so that more and more functions that were previously carried out by human beings will be carried out by machines in the future. Even further down the road is the increasing complexity and capacity of machines that will gradually take over many of the higher functions of human beings. This will happen through technologies like Artificial Intelligence.

So if we look first of all at the question of increasing automation, the basic questions that arise are, "What will human beings do if all their jobs are taken over by robots? Will there be a shortcut that I can take to keep me from being outsourced by a machine in the future? Will the next trillion dollar industry be about artificial automation or natural automation?"

Direction Of Humanity

Understand that in most cases, these are gradual changes, so that all of society can adjust according to the laws of the economy. Historically however, examples of exceptions to this rule are the rapid introduction of and demand for computers and the internet in the late 1990'

s.

If you look at the main prediction that we are making about the direction of life, in the future, people will be looking for health, happiness, peace, longevity, and and some will be looking even further beyond these qualities to higher aspirations.

None of those qualities can be provided by machines or computers. "Love" cannot yet be delivered by a robot the way that a soul needs to feel it. Those are essentially natural human qualities that will need to be supported, developed and serviced by human beings.

The New Industry

So you can probably see that human beings will increasingly move in the direction of service: serving other people, helping other people, and providing opportunities for other people to increase levels of health, happiness and peace.  Meanwhile the machines will take over the kind of basic functions that are not really challenging for human beings. And the nice thing about that is that there are many areas of service industries that can to those who serve, greater levels of fulfillment and satisfaction.

As an example, you can already see the increase in the number of people providing professional massage service. You don't need an amazing university degree to be a great masseur. You need to have a good feel for people and a good feel for doing massage. So that's just one indicator of the way things will go.

Wellness Is The Next Trillion Dollar Industry

In his book "The Next Trillion, Paul Zane Pilzer exposes why half the U.S. population is unhealthy and overweight: Americans have become caught between the economic interests of the trillion-dollar food industry and the trillion-dollar healthcare or "sickness" industry.

Pilzer claims that "The New Wellness Revolution shows that even though millions of people have embraced wellness, the need for wellness has actually expanded due to declining health trends, particularly the rising obesity rate in the U.S. and other developed nations. Medical costs now exceed profits for most large employers, and corporations are beginning to recognize that wellness and disease prevention are the only viable solutions to rising healthcare costs that threaten their very existence."

The more people increase their wealth, the greater proportion of their income they spend on wellness. Find out more about Pilzer here...

Where Does This Leave The Average Individual?

People often worry about the lower end of society, "What will people do?!" But this fear has always been unsubstantiated.

We believe that there will be lots and lots of more stimulating, more interesting, and more challenging work available for people of all skill levels, as we shift into the new potentials for our future.

What Does This Mean For The New Pioneers?

The increase in automation will only be more welcomed in the future. The New Pioneers who are aware on the next trillion dollar industry are already in tune with the services that will be needed and even required in the coming years. They will pave the way by creating a shortcut to the future, thus opening the way for others to take advantage of these services as both the need and desire arise.
