Happiness In The New Civilization Of The Future

Today, everybody wants to be happy. But in the past, happiness was just something that people would read about or hear somebody else talk about. Not so many people really could be happy in the past and they often didn't even wonder what does my future hold. They thought that they didn't have happiness to look forward to and that being happy was as impossible as going to the moon or to other planets. Happiness was very far away and hard to reach.

And still today, not many people have really tasted true happiness but more and more are asking "What does my future hold?". Many people have tried to experience happiness; like when you would get very nice food or lots of money, but that kind of happiness disappears very quickly. When the feeling of happiness just comes and goes - it just disappears very quickly - then we should ask "was that real happiness or not?"

Some people would say that if they got a nice house that they would be very happy. But as soon as they get their nice house, more problems automatically start to come. When problems come, people start to get the sense that happiness is just temporary.

If somebody expects to become the next Olympic champion, as soon as they become an Olympic Champion, they start to get very excited! And then soon after they are excited as a champion, they feel very exhausted.

A lot of people would say "When I get married, I'll be very happy". But after they become married, depression and disappointment sets in because their marriage is not what they expected it to be. Everybody thinks about becoming happy but human beings never really experienced or learned how to behave in a consistent happy way.

So what does my future hold in the area of happiness?

The Future Of Happiness

To be happy in the new civilization (even with the new technologies) you must have new knowledge and new culture, because happiness in the new civilization does not rely upon material conditions to make you happy. Nor is it that you become happy when you get material things like a house, a car, or money. Following the development of civilization, the new civilization requirement for the human being isn't to be satisfied with material things, because the new material things are produced by limited human wisdom and by limited human creative ability.

Even if you get a new house, new car, new clothes, or new food, the new things will still eventually become old. So too often we wonder what does my future hold in terms of material success.

As soon as people understand that tomorrow too will be old, or more new material things are coming anyway, people will immediately loose their happiness, or they'll be looking for other new things. So if they understand that happiness means more than just being satisfied with the material world, then can the material world make people happy?

Can The Material World Make You Happy?

The material sensation level of the human being in the old civilization meant that everyone was happily enjoying all kinds of new material things. But as the new material things become old or when people see their material things are not as they expected - not the very latest fashion or the very best one - then they want something more. If people's creative ability is limited by the sensation level, they can't create new materials and they feel limited by the material world. When they can't reach their goals they start to be unhappy and emotional.

Satisfaction always makes people happy. So if humans were living a life that was always on the move, living for the evolution of civilization and always welcoming development, then they would be satisfied. If people can't follow evolution's development speed, they won't have the ability to follow the true speed of development. Then they can't feel happiness and will always feel limited.

Even if you say "if I am a millionaire I will be very happy", and then as soon as you are a millionaire you will see other possibilities. A million can produce another million, or a million can become devalued. Perhaps millionaires just won't be valued in the new civilization as part of the new life culture, and then you will not be happy anymore. If you use the sensation level to expect happiness, you always get a limited result. That's because the sensations - what you can see, feel, taste, smell, or hear - are all too close to you. The physical sensations show you what you can already recognize. From the sensation level, everything you have in front of you is material but the action itself of developing new things is not on the sensation level, and therefore can't be recognized.

There was a study done to measure the level of happiness in quadriplegics versus lottery winners. One year after the major accident of the quadriplegic and the winning numbers for the lottery, it was actually the quadriplegic who had an overall higher level of happiness, as calculated by this study. So it could be concluded that the quadriplegic had to do inner personal work to deal with the accident that would result in riches far greater than the superficial lottery winner who had everything magically handed over to him.

When new things are produced or somebody creates new things, you're surprised and you like it. But if you don't have creative ability yourself, then you will always be attracted to somebody who does have it. And then you'll most always be unhappy even though you can pick up somebody else's creative products.

Creativity And Happiness

In the new civilization of the future, if you can't be creative or envision further new products and new creative solutions, you'll simply always take or follow other people's creative ideas. So even if you have the best house in the world, or the best car or the best computer in the world, or best clothes in the world, you still won't be happy. That is because the new civilization's happiness is not based on what the sensation level can expect or judge, or can see.

When more and more people can be creative all around the world, and there are more and more new products being produced everyday, then everyday we'll change new ones for old ones. Or when there are new ideas, new solutions, and new knowledge everyday, then you won't just enjoy the material (sensation) level anymore.

In the new civilization of the future, happiness and satisfaction will be based on the level of a new creative ability, and not only enjoying the material level. Following civilization's development and human creative ability developments, the human lifestyles will develop more and more. So when you have so many new ideas, and new products everyday, then new products are not a big deal anymore. Any product, no matter how new it is, is not new because in the new civilization, all the material products will become ‘throw away' products - like the paper napkin.

When the levels of creative ability raise, then material products loose their value much faster. So today's new products are tomorrow's old ones - just like bread - when you can create so many different types of bread, bread is not valued as it was in the last century. Back then when bread helped reduce human suffering due to hungriness, as soon as someone got some bread they were very, very happy and excited. Now, if you give someone a piece of bread they are not so excited anymore.

The Devaluation Of The Material

When the material level can quickly produce materials, then the valuation of ‘more and more' becomes less and less - it has less and less value. Creative material ideas and knowledge are much more valued than material things themselves.

If we are still expecting sensation level's expectations in the new civilization e.g. if I get money I will be happy; if I get a house I will be happy; if I get everything that I expect I will be happy - then you will never be happy because the new happenings and all the creative situations for human beings will be phenomenal - they are beyond any of our human expectations.

So if we still have the lifestyle of the sensation level's conditional happiness - if I have money; if I get sex; if I get nice clothes; if I reach my goal - I will be happy - then that's not new civilization level of happiness. Those conditions belong to the old civilization level of happiness. Are you still wondering what will my future hold?

High Culture + Natural Energy = High Happiness

The new civilization's happiness in the future is because of a higher culture and higher civilization. It means relying more on energy, on the Universe, and on nature. Our life will not be exhausted and we won't feel tired. We will not be under pressure and we won't worry anymore because everything is taken care of by the Universe energy.

Energy will take care of our health, our creative abilities and our lifestyle. Energy will be taking much better care of things than we take care of things. We will just peacefully relax being happy and we'll enjoy being surprised all the time with the happenings of life.

Our life will be more expanded than the sensation level's life. We will move beyond touch, taste, sound, smell, and sight, into the level of the soul. Our life will be much more unlimited than our present self's limited life. So the phenomenal lifestyle will make us happy and that's the new civilization's happiness in the future.
