Even the Most Successful Investors Get Help With Investing

Without getting help with investing, people will end up taking the Long Road to the future. And is the Long Road the road you are wanting to travel?

The long road is about living without much foresight or inquisition into different methods of living. It is not about investing in the future. The long road to the future is to carry on as we are doing. It is doing what everybody is doing now. You know, copying your friends and your neighbors, doing what's most popular at the moment, doing what will make you most successful now without worrying too much about the future. There's not much help with investing that you'll need to do that.

Learning The Hard Way
The long road is about making many mistakes that don't need to be made, as opposed to not making mistakes that have been made by others-- the Shortcut. The long road is rather laissez-faire, and lives by the premise that the future will come when it comes, and we will deal with it then. It's very reactionary, rather than proactive.

Did you know that in university engineering courses, students are taught that tomorrow's problems are today's "successful" ways of doing things?

Looking Good Now
The long road looks good at the moment. It goes with the flow, it is tried and true, and you may be more successful in the short term. Plus the good thing about Living in the Now is that you get to do what lots of other people are doing. So it's easy! It's like buying clothes that are most popular now, it's easy to find them because they are in most stores.

It's the same with doing the jobs that are most popular at the moment; it's easy to find them because there are lots in demand. So, it's an easy life, it's comfortable and you can be reasonably successful now.

For example, most engineering universities that had petroleum engineering departments in this past decade had tremendous increases in enrollment of students to graduate with this degree, only because oil became a hot topic in politics and war. Escalating profits increased the demand for these engineers, and large singing bonuses coaxed many students to change their careers in order to follow present-day money.

But when the value of oil fluctuates back down to where it was in the 90's, there will be thousands of out-of-work engineers struggling for jobs to keep up with their high standards of living.

In the long term you can easily end up falling behind. So the main con to Living in the Now and doing what everyone else is doing (aka: The Long Road) is that you aren't properly prepared for the future. When the future comes, in most cases, as we have seen with our clients, you won't be as successful.

And then when you're not so successful, you can spiral into a host of other issues, like health problems, depression and relationship problems (fighting or divorce).

Feeling Good Later
So the people who get help with investing are able to look ahead to the future and accurately predict the future. They will become the big successes of the future.

For example, if you look at Google and Amazon, they started out before the internet was the huge phenomenon that it is today. And as a result there was much room for growth, and they've become hugely successful companies. Simply because they looked ahead to what was coming, they got the vision right.

They saw that people were gonna be looking for information and products online, and they started working on it before it became really popular. And that is very positive for those of us who wish to become successful in the future.

Simplicity Rules
This is a simple principle. You know, most people work for the present and Live in the Now. Yet they think about the past, worry about the future. And if they are really honest they will admit that they always feel like they're lagging behind. Doesn't that sound familiar? It's like you're always playing catch-up.
