Future Inventions And The Gap Between Artificial And Natural Living
Blood-Cell-Sized Robots, Really?
Let's get acquainted with some of the future inventions and dilemmas that people are going to be facing in the near future as it relates to the split between artificial and natural methods of living.
Some people really welcome the prospect of artificial intelligence, nano-technology, and very advanced technologies that are already being promised. This suggest that there will be, in the foreseeable future (could be within 20 years or so), machines that are far more intelligent and far more powerful than human beings.
In the future, for example, doctors will be able to insert nano-bots into the human blood stream. These tiny blood-cell-sized robots will be able to control our emotions, control our health, and of course "improve" anything we program them to do. Some people really like that idea while others are terrified of it and find the whole idea of artificial intelligence extremely threatening. Personally I believe that there's a real divide in directions here.
Just like we see in the artificial technologies of modern medicine today, there's the medical, technological, and chemical approach for handling diseases, which involves taking medicines, undergoing surgery, and using highly sophisticated machines to provide healing services for people. Which by the way, western medicine claims no cures for anything.
Life Technology-- The Flip Side Of Artificial Technology
And on the other side of future inventions there's an increasing interest in the natural approach for curing disease, where people are doing alternative and complementary health practices. They're looking for natural solutions to health problems; they're looking for organic food and all kinds of natural approaches to life. Most of these people are looking to solve the problems at the level of the root thereby eliminating the possibility of them returning.
In the future you can see that this dichotomy, or this divide, is likely to increase. We're gonna have on the one hand the development of extremely powerful physical (medical and electronic) technologies. And on the other hand we'll have an increasing research and demand for what we can call Natural Technologies, or Life Technology, (Link to Academy) that deal with energy and cultural wisdom. Life Technology is based on a completely natural but new paradigm of understanding of how life functions.
How Do You Know Which Way Is Right?
People are going to have to choose which way they want to go with future inventions, because the future trend is that artificial and natural technologies will become increasingly incompatible.
There are some people who believe that the natural way is suboptimal in inverted commerce; that nature simply doesn't have the resources anymore to provide us with what we're looking for. And on the other hand, there are those who believe that the natural way is far more powerful than we currently recognize.
Nature Always Prevails In The End
The fact remains that we are very limited in our understanding of nature, and that if we understood more about nature, we would see nature vastly beyond what we currently give it credit to be. Under this principle, if human beings learn how to use what nature provides, we could become far more powerful in a natural way.
It will be up to all of us to decide which of our future inventions we personally use in our own life. But in a free society, we should be able to choose the warm, thick injection of nano-bots to help regulate our spleens, or the natural treatments of an alternative health practitioner.
