Children's Health Education: Increasing Child Relaxation

Increasing A Child's Future Potentials
Experts in children's health say that the key period for intervening in a person's health is in the first two years of life. And ironically, this is the period when we spend the least energy on health.

Children's health has to be built on a prediction of a quality of adult life to some extent, because there's a lot of preparation going on for becoming an adult when you're a child. For example, it's common now that you see lots of children eating a very poor diet. It may not affect them too badly in a short term, because a developing body has the ability to devour and process almost anything. But if they continue to eat that kind of poor diet over many years, it will have a profound effect on their health as adults. So without this prediction or goal of the quality of a child's adult life, their future health and potential is left to chance.

Investing In Children's Health Is Investing In An Adult's Future
Years down the road you wouldn't want to regret your lack of health due to poor discipline as a child. So starting young with the child becomes an investment in that child's adult health and overall potentials in life. Health will become the priority of every parent in the future, because without health, it's barely worth investing in the rest of life. People spend so much money on the expensive education, yet they don't take proper care to make sure that their children are really strong and healthy.

As Sarah McCrum, Director of The Academy of Potential Education puts it, "That's a big waste of money, because health is the foundation of life. Therefore I would see children's health as being, basically, the primary area for investment for parents and also for society."

So a major shortcut for each of our futures is to implement new types of health and education programs that will be available to everyone:

  • Health education for expecting mothers (prenatal health care) (LINK to "Health Before Birth" page)
  • Children's health care
  • Health education and life education within schools and universities
  • Health education in large companies for employees (probably made mandatory in the near future due to rising health care costs).

Keep in mind this will be a deeper understanding of health, based on energy, relaxation, and natural self healing that we don't hear much about today.

An Example Of What Is Possible
What can children do when they are educated in this method?

Our organization recently hosted a relaxation program with a group of 7-year olds. At the end of the program we did an interview with them all just to see what kind of benefits they had gotten. Two things really stuck out in our minds.

The first one was a child saying, "I had a stomach ache and when I relaxed it went away."

That's the foundation for self healing. If you can teach that in school and prevent children from needing to go to the doctor because they have a stomach ache, and then take medicine which doesn't do them any good to heal the stomach ache from the root cause, that is a huge advancement in children's health.

The second one that stood out very clearly was of a 7 year old child describing how his 2 year old younger brother had a headache. So the older brother taught the younger how to relax using a technique of relaxation taught in the program to get rid of the headache.

It was then clear that at the age of 7, children are capable of healing themselves and healing each other. And if that's possible, why wouldn't we teach all children across the whole of society how to do that. This would save an absolute fortune in public money, and save an absolute fortune in public health- not money- but "wealth of health". It would also save a lot of human suffering.

If every child knew how to heal themselves of most of the simple, day to day health problems that they have like headaches, scratches, boo-boos, tummy aches, ear infections, skin rashes, etc, we would be an enormously wealthier society, in every meaning of the word.

So in the future, children'

s health education will start immediately at birth and provide children a deep understanding to their health. After all, if we will soon have the capability of extending our life spans to double or more of where they are now, learning proper health knowledge early on will help to extend that life span even further.
